The Remarkable Heritage of the Quinta

Historically, the manor was the centre of parish activities, hosting formerly a prosperous butter factory, mail service establishment and the official office for forestry authorities.
In its latter days, it became a school for children and adults.
This late 19th century manor has now been totally rebuilt to its original style and specifications, and evokes a romantic historical connection with the past.

A stay at the manor will link you forever with the past luxury and comfort of aristocratic "Madeiran Quintas", now associated with tourism of the highest quality and taking Madeira into the next millenium.

Moreover, the quinta is close by to the precious Laurissilva Forest. An endemic forest unique to Macaronesia. Below is photo of the top most part of the Laurissilva forest before it reaches the summit of the Paúl da Serra.
